In our quest to develop a truly unique mushroom product, we have identified over nine magic mushroom strains (psilocybin-containing mushrooms) grown in-house that we utilize in our PolkaDot mushroom edibles, such as chocolate bars, gummies, and truffles.

What are magic mushrooms?

According to Wikipedia, psilocybin mushrooms, or psilocybin-containing mushrooms, commonly known as magic mushrooms or as shrooms, are a type of hallucinogenic mushroom and a polyphyletic informal group of fungi that contain the prodrug psilocybin, which turns into the psychedelic psilocin upon ingestion.

The most potent species are members of the genus Psilocybe, such as P. azurescens, P. semilanceata, and P. cyanescens, but psilocybin has also been isolated from approximately a dozen other genera, including Panaeolus (including Copelandia), Inocybe, Pluteus, Gymnopilus, and Pholiotina.

What are the strains of magic mushrooms used in PolkaDot bars?

We used over nine magic mushroom strains, including but not limited to Albino Penis Envy, Penis Envy, Maverick, True Albino Teacher, Yeti, Bluey Vuitton, Yeti Orange Cap, Enigma, and Steel Magnolia.

2. Penis Envy: The Penis Envy magic mushroom is a renowned strain of Psilocybe cubensis celebrated for its exceptional potency and distinctive appearance. It is characterized by thick, dense stems and bulbous caps. This rare variety is reputed to contain higher concentrations of psilocybin and psilocin, delivering profoundly intense and immersive psychedelic experiences.
3. Maverick: The Maverick magic mushroom species is your key to bold exploration, designed for those who seek clarity, creativity, and a heightened sense of awareness, and crafted for both seasoned adventurers and curious newcomers.
4. True Albino Teacher: The True Albino Teacher mushroom strain is a type of psilocybin magic mushroom that has garnered attention among mycology researchers and enthusiasts due to its distinct characteristics and potency. Believed to be a unique albino variant of the popular Teacher strain, it is renowned for its psilocybin content and striking appearance.

6. Bluey Vuitton: The Bluey Vuitton strain is a rare and highly sought-after variety of Psilocybe cubensis, a species of psychedelic mushroom known for its potent psychoactive properties. This strain is a hybrid of the Panama and Most Valuable Producer (MVP) strains, making it a unique and exclusive offering in the world of psilocybin research and cultivation.
7. Yeti Orange Cap: The Yeti Orange Cap magic mushroom is a new strain bred by our mycologist, a cross between Yeti and Steel Magnolia.
8. Enigma: The Enigma Psilocybe Cubensis is a rare mutation stemming from two powerhouse cubensis strains, Penis Envy and Tidal Wave. Due to its unusual shape of dense mycelium kernels, the Enigma mushroom does not produce spores. Instead, it remains within a single generation through clones
9. Steel Magnolia: The Steel Magnolia mushroom strain is a rare and powerful variety of Psilocybe, known for its high potency and unique characteristics. Steel Magnolias are generally presumed to be of the same or even higher potency than the popular Penis Envy variants.

Measuring the quantity of mushroom strains per product type

For every PolkaDot mushroom product, we measured a precise mushroom dosage ranging from 2 grams to 5 grams for easy dosing, as shown below.

• PolkaDot Bars: measure at 5 grams per bar (333 mg per piece for 15 square pieces).
• PolkaDot Gummies: Measure a total of 4 grams per gummy (400 mg per piece for 10 pieces).
• PolkaDot Truffles contains a total of 2 grams per chocolate truffle (500 mg per piece for 4 pieces).
